Leslie Nelson -- New Jersey


Nelson, 41, a transsexual, killed 2 law-enforcement officers during a
1995 standoff in Haddon Heights. Police officer John Norcross, 24,
and John McLaughlin, 38, an investigator for the Camden County
prosecutor's office, were fatally shot during the siege.

Nelson confessed to the 1995 killing of two policemen during a 14-hour standoff 
in Haddon Heights, N.J. The policemen were investigating her involvement in a 
sexual assault on a 3-year-old girl.
