Louise Harris -- Alabama

Louise Harris, 38, paid a hired killer in 1988 who murdered her husband, 
a deputy sheriff in Montgomery County, with a shotgun blast.  She was 
sentenced to death on Aug 11, 1989.  In her trial the jury recommended 
life imprisonment without possibility of parole.  The judge ignored this 
and sentence Louise Harris to death.
