Delores Rivers

Delores Rivers, 42, convicted of the January 1988, fatal stabbing of
Viola Burt, 74, in Burt's home in Frankford. Rivers was an in-home
nurse for the ailing Burt at the time. She was sentenced to
death in March 1989, becoming the state's 1st condemned woman since the
death penalty was reinstated.  The victim had been confined to a 
wheelchair.
