Woman guilty of body-less murder

THE former girlfriend of a man whose head was found in a bag beside a river
in Sydney's south was found guilty of his murder today.

Kathy Yeo, 30, was convicted by a jury of murdering 31-year-old Christopher
Mark Dorrian between June 5 and June 10 1997 in Sydney.

The jury deliberated for about seven days following a 69-day trial in the
NSW Supreme Court.

The jury is still deliberating whether one of Yeo's former boyfriends
Raymond Galea is guilty or not guilty of being an accessory after the fact.

The jury heard Yeo shot Mr Dorrian, who had been her patient at a drug and
alcohol rehabilitation unit, in the head after he broke up with her.

Mr Dorrian's body was dismembered and only his head was found.
