POW President Colleen Hyphenated-Lastname said that on the CD, Fabio advocates hitting women with Chinese frying pans. "That society can stand by while this man advocates hitting women with woks is an absolute disgrace and an atrocity and an atrocious disgrace," she declared at a press conference.
The CD consists of Fabio reading suggestions on how to spend a romantic evening with a woman. Hyphenated-Lastname said that one of Fabio's suggestions is to "take a wok on the bitch."
"That a man thinks it's romantic to refer to women as "bitches" and then beat them with cooking utensils only says how far we still have yet to go in protecting women," Hyphenated-Lastname said.
At the press conference, a reporter suggested that what Fabio was really saying in his Italian-accented English was not "take a wok on the bitch" but "take a walk on the beach."
But Hyphenated-Lastname angrily replied: "We've had enough of this denial about the abuse of women. Your question is part of the backlash and the War on Women. To suggest that this man might be innocent of the charges against him proves that you are pro-abuse."
"Our statistics show that every three seconds, a woman is beaten by a man wielding a Chinese cooking utensil. And in Scandinavian countries, it is an open secret that women are routinely beaten with fondue pots. British men, while hiding behind a facade of refinement, routinely beat their women with sterling silver tea sets, all the while holding their pinky-fingers out. And we haven't scratched the surface of all the Hispanic women beaten with ollas. Our research shows that one out of every three women can expect to be attacked sometime in her life with trivets, colanders, spatulas, tea cozies, muffin tins or chop sticks."
When asked what type of cooking device is most commonly used to be women, Hyphenated-Lastname referred to her booklet of feminist statistics and replied "It's a crock."
