An intimate, supportive community nestled in Santa Rosa, California on 1/2 acre of land. Being the last house at the end of the road, it is a quiet and peaceful place that borders on acres of fields with a variety of wild life activities. There are few distractions at Discovery, which helps keeps our focus on recovery. Members are selected by all house members for their willingness and desire to work a good recovery program. Although the atmosphere appears to be very laid back there is a constant focus on growth and recovery in this highly supportive community.
The facility is a large ranch style home that can accommodate 5 men which includes the live in manager/owner, Jerry Noakes MA. There is a basketball court, and exercise room and lots of space for gardening.
About Jerry: He has a varied background in addictions and recovery. He has facilitated recovery groups for over seven years. He has a Master's Degree in counseling / Psychology and does work in a private practice as an MFCC intern.
Each person living at Discovery gets lot of personal attention from all their house members. The smallness of Discovery offers a unique opportunity for each house mate to work on their recovery process, in a caring and challenging interactive environment.
