Experiment 19
Obstructions Measurement (pending)
This Experiment would repeat measurements made a many years ago but never documented. It follows an obstruction measurement done in Experiment 8. There are at least two parts.
Measure a large circularthin metallic barrier with a central hole that will allow passage of an SWTL. Make the S/D geometry of that hole and the conductor produce [50] ohm impedance.
First short the line to the barrier and measure S-Parameters.
Remove the short allowing the barrier to otherwise remain in position. Measure S-Parameters.
Remove the barrier but replace it with a crossing line at least as large as the barrier, preferably larger. Measure S-Parameters.
Add a second crossing line at various distances beyond the first to describe how long it takes to return to radial symmetry about each line after removing one axis.
