You can print your own UPC symbols with a printer or label-maker and then clerks can more quickly enter movie ID numbers by simply "scanning" them, rather than typing them in.
Since scanner input isn't supported in the software in this proposal, I suggest you purchase a special scanner which sends scanned ID numbers in as though they were typed on the keyboard. Setting this type of system up is very simple and I decided to keep the price of the proposed software down by "forcing" you to get these special scanners if you decide you want one.
