Operating System Requirements
The operating systems available for IBM PC's which the proposed software
should be able to run under include:
- MicroSoft DOS 5.0 or above
This is suggested and already comes with most PC configurations.
- IBM OS/2
Since this is a graphical operating system, the over-head of using it would
simply be a waste of time and memory.
- MicroSoft Windows 3.0 or above
(Not really an operating system) Like OS/2, this is a graphical interface
and for this software would be a waste. But since many PC configurations
come with this as well, it may be too much hassle to try to find a modern
system without Windows just to save only about $100 at the most.
- Other Operating Systems
If the operating system you chose can run MS DOS applications, then it
should be able to run the proposed software package as well as other
applications mentioned throughout the proposal.
