We will cover topics of interest to the Mac beginner such as computer jargon, organizing your hard drive, Internet & email, finding software for the Mac, printer issues, routine maintenance and tips and tricks. Each meeting will have time for open Question and Answers.
The February meeting on 2/6/12 will be about setup and troubleshooting printers. Plus plenty of time for your genereal Mac questions.
The class is ongoing and you can join the class at any time.

This special interest group is geared for new to intermediate level users. It offers an alternative for people who are unable to attend our general monthly club meeting.
The next meeting is February 18th at La tercera Elementary School, 1600 Albin Way in Petaluma. The meeting will be a discussion of Problems and Solutions for Transferring Files.
The meeting starts at 10 a.m. and concludes about noon. A link to a map of the meeting site is provided in the SIGs section of the NCMUG web page.

Participants will learn how to search the Internet and genealogical libraries like the Santa Rosa Library Annex and the LDS Family History
Center to find ancestors and living relatives from any country; from Iceland to Africa, China to England, Native Indian, American pioneer, etc.
There will be speakers and field trips and lots of fun searching out our roots.
We will be using Reunion software from http://www.leisterpro.com but will not require this program.
The February Genealogy SIG meeting will be a "RootsTech Roundup", a discussion of the recent RootsTech conference in Salt Lake City. Jan Mobley and Lorel Kapke will tell us of their experiences at the conference and their thoughts about new technologies for genealogy research. As usual, we will also have plenty of time for general Q&A.
The GenSIG meets at St. James parish center, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway in Petaluma. The meeting, this Saturday, February 11th will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude about noon.
