And the moon eclipsed the sun. And the world became dark.

And the world shuddered. And souls shivered.

And there was silence.

Allen feels a warmth coming from his heart. Then, the warmth spreads outward towards to the top of his head, to the tip of his fingers, and to the tip of his toes. Then, a pain erupts. The pain, so sudden, so sharp, causes him to drop to the floor and roll himself into a ball. And the pain became so unbearable, he stops feeling. He was numb.

After what felt like an eternity, his senses came back. His mouth tasted a sweet taste. His nose smelled a citrus scent. His ears heard a whispery sound. His skin felt a warm feeling. And his closed eyes saw a bright light.

And slowly, he started to feel "normal" and he started to rise up and he started to open his eyes.

He looked at the other people in the bar. Some stared in awe at him. Some glared in disgust at him. Some looked away from him. Some were smiling. Some were crying. Some were saying prayers.

Puzzled, he turned around and looked at the mirror behind the bar. Shock. His hair was white instead of black. His eyes were red instead of brown. And... And he had white fluffy wings.

And then, he heard the tinny jingling of many little bells. And the pain came back.

Another eternity, and he became conscious again. And he rose up. But it felt different. So strangely different. Again, he looked at the mirror. And another change. And his hair returned to black. But his eyes were this time green. But he still had wings. And the wings were now a glossy black.
