Fiction: You need to have
the fastest computer available.
Fact: You may want to have
the fastest, but you probably don't need it. In many instances, you won't even
notice the difference! Frankly, having more memory or a faster hard drive is
often more important than having a faster processor.
Fiction: You should purchase a name brand such as a Dell,
Gateway, Compaq, etc.
Fact: There is nothing wrong with a
name brand, but keep in mind that just because it says Dell on the case,
doesn't make it any better than one of our System 2000 computers. A fancy case
is just a fancy case. It's what's inside that counts and at Office Helper, we
use the best components money can buy
Fiction: The
components inside a name brand case were made by that company.
Fact: Not necessarily, in fact, in many instances, probably
not. 99% of the components inside a computer are made in China, Korea,
Singapore, Taiwan Japan or elsewhere along the Pacific Rim. This includes
mainboards, memory, disk drives, modems, CD-ROMs...even the cases themselves.
Often, name brand computers are even assembled in foreign countries including
Mexico.

tested right here in Sonoma County, using the best components available. They
may cost a little more, but the difference is worth it!
Fiction: I can get the lowest price at a discount store, mail
order or off the Internet.
Fact: Yes, you may be able to
get the lowest purchase price, but purchase price is not the bottom line. What
about after-the-sale service? Are you prepared to install a computer yourself?
Do you want to read a bunch of technical manuals or would you rather have a
trained technical person deliver, install and assist you with getting started?

Upgrades: We can easily upgrade or modify your existing
computer to fit your specific wants or requirements, however with the price of
new computers today, it may be less expensive to purchase a new system, rather

Systems: If you're on a tight budget or just want a basic computer for
such things as word-processing, data entry, etc., we have a number of
previously owned systems available which have be thoroughly tested; are Y2K
compliant, and include a 30 day, trade-up warranty. These start as low as $125.
Many of these systems are also Internet capable.
Networking: If you wish to network two or more computers
together, we can supply you with all of the components to do it yourself or our
professional networking team will come to your office or home and install and
configure the network for you. Please ask our sales personnel for more
information.
Consulting: Our professional computer
consultant is available to discuss and evaluate your business or personal
needs, from stand-alone units to multiple networked systems. We talk in terms
you can understand!
Delivery-Setup-Instruction: We
can provide delivery and setup in your home or office as well as both basic and
advanced instruction in the use of computers, Windows 95. 98, NT, 2000 and the
Internet.
