    Grace's Art

There's only two of my drawings here now but I might be inclined to scan a few more sometime in the near future. Both of these were drawn in pencil. I've attempted oils, tried my hand at watercolor, and even did a few charcoal fists, (private joke, don't you just love that I'm sharing?) but I've always come back to my drawings (in pencil.) Why? Pencils are cheap, paper is always available, and if you've ever worked in oils, pencil is far less messy, time consuming, and it doesn't have that turpentine tang to it. *Grin* After I took an oil painting class, I decided I didn't have the talent or the patience to work with oils in the long term. *Laugh* As a result, I decided I would hone my skills as an illustrator. Mostly I do faces, like these, but occasionally, I'll do a grouping of people, landscapes, or animals.
