Endemic to New Caledonia, this fascinating plant weaves a "basket" around its pseudobulbs at maturity. Arching, pendant spikes emerge from the base and branch out with many flowers about the size of a 50 cent piece. Grows intermediate to warm with moderate light. Often blooms twice a year.

Jumellea comorensis
One of the smaller African angraecoid species. Plant stays on the compact side and flowers when only about 5" tall. You will not believe the spur on this guy. You often have to raise the pot as the spur will elongate below the bottom of the pot. They spike in fall and early winter. Likes to grow on the warm side of intermediate with moderate light. Does not want to dry out completely.

Laelia alaorii
A blue laelia! Or as blue as we get in the orchid world. Flowers are about the size of a half-dollar and are actually a light lavender with a pink overlay giving it a light blue-ish effect. These are sub-compact plants and do not get unruly or out of control. Likes intermediate to warm temperature with moderate to bright light.

Laelia sincorana

The most beautiful of all the lemboglossums, certainly the largest flower in this genus.. Large ivory/with flowers with golden freckles are produced on newly matured bulbs.
