Big, big flower on a smaller plant. These gorgeous flowers are pendant so plant needs to be hung or set on an inverted pot when bloom spikes emerge. Plant will throw several spikes and flowers open simultaneously. Reblooms within a month or two. Likes intermediate temperatures and moderate to low light. Watering cycle is the same year around, maybe a little less fertilizer in winter when days are shorter. Plant is spectacular when 5 or 6 blooms are hanging over the edge of the pot. Paphiopetalum delenatii
Very pretty mottled foliage on this North Vietnamese species. Tall spike supports single flower that is clear pinkish ivory with a darker pink pouch (the labellum or lip). Phalaenopsis violaceaa.k.a. Phalaenopsis bellina This species cultivar is from Borneo and Sumatra. We carry both cultivars. The one in the photo at the right is from Borneo. Technically, the species from Borneo is called Phalaenopsis bellina and the one from Sumatra is Phalaenopsis violacea. Culture is intermediate to warm with moderate light. Should not be allowed to dry out completely. Avoid letting water stand in the crown overnight. Highly fragrant!
