The first edition in this series is from the 1943 Columbia Pictures feature film adaption of I Love A Mystery. This movie was based on the radio serial The Decapatation of Jefferson Monk and was the first of three films produced by Columbia Pictures from the popular radio program. The card depicts the three main characters from the movie, Barton Yarborough as 'Doc" Long, Jim Bannon as Jack Packard, and George Macready as Jefferson Monk, who in the scene pictured above is declaring, "I only have three days to live!"
