OCTOBER IN PARADISE IS HERE
“October in Paradise”, the annual fundraiser of the Sonoma County Task Force on the Homeless is fast approaching. The date is Thursday, October 14th, 2004 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. It promises to be a wonderful and exciting evening with music, good food, dining and dancing, live and silent auctions and door prizes. The event will take place at Paradise Ridge Winery, the winery known to have “the most beautiful view in Sonoma County”. If you care about homeless people, please supportOctober in Paradise. The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres and jazz piano by Hobart “Red” Thomas. A sunset special lasagna dinner will be prepared by noted chefs, with wines from fine area vintners. The silent auction offers wine, art, getaways and other treasures, capped by a lively auction with celebrity auctioneer Ernie Carpenter. Enjoy dancing under the stars to the fabulous tunes of The Blue Moon R & B Dance Band while enjoying the view over the twinkling lights of Santa Rosa.
Funds raised by October in Paradise will benefit the Task Force with its important mission of advocacy, education, and coordination. The group is a catalyst and leadership resource on homeless issues. Funds raised will also be applied to the Task Force Fund for the Homeless to help direct service agencies.
Please celebrate the progress and help the efforts in Sonoma County to address homelessness. We would like to see our whole community involved in October in Paradise to support the important work of the Sonoma County Task Force on the Homeless. Volunteers are needed for the event.
