Non-profit housing developers and service providers do a wonderful job of putting together financing, designing great buildings and pulling together services. Then they experience community opposition as they move through the approval process. Non-Profit Housing Association has developed a six step process for analyzing and planning for government approvals, a process that helps you build support, prepare for community issues and set up needed strategies very early in your timeline. While we continue to educate the public and elected officials on affordable housing, we can also educate ourselves to do the best job possible in promoting proposals and gaining approvals. Betty Pagett from Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California will lead this Community Acceptance Strategies Training.
