This is my studio where I record

This web site features my fully produced original rock 'n roll songs in RealAudio format. The purpose of this web site is to distribute my music to as many people as possible. I do this by letting you to hear my songs, download them and read the lyrics. I am independant as I am not signed with any record label. If you decide you like my music, you can buy a recording through my online store. If you like my music but don't want to pay for it, you can pay me a compliment. Just go to my feedback page. I'd love it if you would sign my guest book.

About the Sound

At this time all my sound files are in the Real Audio format. If you do not have the Real Audio Player installed on your system visit the Progressive web site and download it for free. A free version of the G2 player is available.

If doing this kind of stuff is strange to you or you need help you can E-Mail me at pbecker@sonic.net. I'll be happy to help you get things working. You could also check the RealAudio technical support page.

The beauty of Real Audio is that you don't have to download the song to your system to hear it. If you have a 28.8 modem or faster you can "stream" the music. That means you can listen to it while you are online. No download time, no filling up your hard drive. That's the way it should be right?

If the music stops and starts while streaming I understand your frustration. This happens when the internet is busy and you're fast modem is still bogged down by the traffic. Here's what you can do:

If you notice the sound quality is a little wobbly or funny, remember this is the trade off in making the files small so they can stream over a modem connection. You probably have a 28.8 or 36.6 modem. This is not the way my songs sound when played on a stereo! A four minute song that sounds like CD quality in .WAV format takes about 30 - 40 Megabytes. Real Audio compresses the files to about 400K - 500K (28.8 version). However, if you have an 56k, ISDN, DSL connecton or better you will notice a pretty decent sound quality when streaming.

I have a number of different versions of the same song on my website. If you see a link in the "Stream RA 5.0" column, that is an older RealAudio file compatible with the 5.0 player. That version of the song plays either a 28.8 or an ISDN version. If you have the G2 player and a 56k modem or DSL choose the link under the "Stream G2" column. You will get a better sound quality than  the 5.0 version. Your RealAudio Player picks the version based on your connection. If your connection is less than 28.8 you should download the file (always an ISDN version) and play it locally. It will take a few minutes but you should be pleased with the sound quality. If you decide you really like the music order a recording: I guarantee the sound is even better than the best version on this site.
