Work in the studio is weighted toward development of techniques that accent and beautify the art form..  The Electroplating of 24 k gold onto the finished solder beads, as seen in "vineyard wine" on the opening page, shows  how the study of related disciplines can serve to add  depth and interest  in mosaic art glass.

In the 1990's I enlisted the talents of Master beveller Robert Lemmon to create  handmade beveled glass pieces, which we then used in the studio to fabricate the elegant clear glass leaded mosaics shown  here.  Half cut marbles called Muggels were fine fit and jewelered together to create grape bunches, that offer an Optic 3-D effect  to the viewer. Grain cut European mouth-blown clear sheet glass , which gently distorts vision due to it's natural grain flow, was selected as the backdrop within which to place these elements.  These art  pieces are pleasantly elegant and offer cycling prismatic color within the myriad of faceted  surfaces which the hand made bevels provide.
