On Sept. 7, 1756, he was appointed guardian to his oldest seven children, his first wife having died about 1750.
After serving in the French & Indian Wars he moved to Novia Scotia. Nathan was a 1761 Horton Grantee. His family moved to Horton, Nova Scotia sometime after his daughter Mercy's baptism, recorded in Middletown, CT on Oct 1762, but before the Horton census of 1770.
