John "Seaborne" Hastings⁷⁴¹ was born about 1637 in Massachusetts Colony, Norfolk Co., Braintree.¹⁴⁵⁷ He was baptized about 1637 in Massachusetts Colony, Norfolk Co., Braintree.^1363,1457 John was given the name "Seaborn" because it is thought he was born on the journey to New England. His baptism record is in Braintree, Mass. John worked as a tanner in Cambridge, probably with his father and brother Walter. He signed the 1664 loyality petition along with his brothers Walter and Samuel (Barber).
