1188. John Willis Sr was born about 1648. He died in 1715 at the age of 67 in Virginia, Richmond Co..1405 He signed a will in 1715.1604 John bequeathed to his son Charles, entailed to his son John, "to the sd Charles excepting that part which I have hearby given unto Thomas James..." John Willis Sr was married.

John Willis Jr. was born before 1673.1146 assuming that John Jr. was at least 21 when his father deeded to him in 1694, he was born by or before 1673. He signed a will on 26 February 1727 in Virginia Colony, King George Co..1605 In the name of God Amen I John Willis of the Parish of Hanover in the Coutny of King George, being sick in body but perfect sense and memory thanks be to God for the same, do make my last Will & Testament in manner and form following, that is to say... I give unto William Wood that parcel of land my brother William Willis exchanged with John Hauxford to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary Willis all that parcel of land wheron my ow dwelling plantation is to her and her heirs forever. I also give unto my wife Mary all and singular my other land & tenements for and during the term of her natural life, and as touching my personal estate my two slaves and all other movables I give unto my wife Mary Willis for and during her natural life. It is my will that after my wife Mary's death my two slaves and other movables thehn left be equally divided amongst both my Relations and her Relations as she shall think fit at that time between them. I hereby make constitute and appoint my loving wife Mary Willis full and sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament, revoking all other wills by me formerly made. I desire that mey estate3 may not be brought to an appraisement. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixty day of February 1727 (1728).

At a Court held for King George County the 3rd day of May Anno Dom. 1728 the Last Will & Testament of John Willis, deceased, was presented into Court by Mary his Widow & Executrix who made oath thereto and the same was proved by the oaths of William Pullein [Pullen] and Catherine Pullein [Pullen] witnesses thereto subscribed and admitted to record. Attest: Turner, Cl Cir He died in 1727/8 at the age of 55 in Virginia Colony, King George Co..1146,1401 Inv. 1728

Charles Willis1606 was born (date unknown). Records indicate that this Charles might have also had a son named Charles, as he had a grandson named William who is mentioned as the son of Hester Willis and Charles. Hester remarried a Johnson.
