Searching for any info on Charles Shearman b. abt 1771 NC. His father was John Shearman, Jr. b. 1750 NC and mother Mildred ????. Had siblings Thomas b. 1782, Temperance b. 1772, Catherine b. 1788,Lucretia b. abt 1777, Elizabeth b. ?? and Margaret b. 1774. This family came to Claiborne Co. from Russell Co., VA about 1810-1812.Would like to know where John Jr. and Mildred are buried and Mildred's surname. Also could this Charles be the one that married Millie Edwyn in Caswell Co., NC? Did Charles have a daughter, Nancy E. Shearman b. abt 1816 and married Thomas J. Wallis? I found a Charles age 79 on the 1850 TN census living with John age 46 and wife Dracis age 35 in Hancock Co. Is this the same Charles? Any help appreciated. Thank you.
