Eleventh Generation
1072. William ALDERMAN Sr.1120 was born about 1640. He died on 1 Aug
1697 in USA, Connecticut, Hartford Co., Farmington. The first
ancestor to whom we definitely trace without further research is William Alderman,
who was born about 1640 (this date by one other said to have been about 1656),
perhaps in Masachusetts or in Windsor, Conn., or he may have been an immiagrant
from England. He was known to have been in Windsor in 1672, later removing to
Farmington, and still later to Simsbury, Conn., wher he married Mary Case.
William Alderman was already in the midst of business engagements in Simsbury
when we first learn of him. The records show that he had business interests
in Farmington, Windsor, and Hartford, as well as in Simsbury. He traded in land
and was holder of extensive real estate.
William ALDERMAN Sr. and Mary CASE were married in 1679 in USA, Connecticut,
Hartford Co., Simsbury. 1073. Mary CASE1121
was born on 22 Jun 1660 in USA, Connecticut, Hartford Co., Windsor.
She signed a will on 12 Aug 1725 in USA, Connecticut, Hartford Co., Simsbury.
Will of Mary Hillyer, Widow, of Simsbury, Conn., August 12, 1725:
"To my three sons, William Alderman, junior, John Alderman, and Joseph
Alderman, my lands - two pieces or parcels lying in Simsbury aforesaid. The
first is a piece of pine land or plain on the west side of the river, given me
by my father, John Case, deceased. The other is five acres of marsh land lying
under West Mountain, which fell to me by division of my father's estate. To
be equally divided among them.
"All my movable estate, except my wearing apparel, I give to my daughter,
Elizabeth (Hillyer).
"And I appoint my well beloved son, John Alderman, my Executor."
Mary Hillyer; L. S.

been learned about her except that the court records show that at the time of
the settlement of her father's estate in 1698 she was 17 years of age, but her
