  • NUDE SURFING IN RIGA

The curl on Riga Bay is eye-high
The Baltic sun is in the sky
It's much too hot to stay dry

    [chorus:]
Let's go nude surfing in Riga
Must try nude surfing in Riga
Gotta go nude surfing in Riga

We paddled from Helsinki to Tallinn
We hustled from Tallinn to Virtsu
We sweated from Virtsu to Kolka
    [chorus]

    [bridge:]
Chased by great fockin killer whales
Chased by great fockin Russian subs
Chased by great fockin Helsinki girls
Gotta take a break, gotta take a break
    Gotta take a break
    [instrumental]

Smoke some hash, eat some trash
Hope that customs don't find our stash
Hangin' it out for that big Baltic Bash
    [chorus]

I'm sitting in the "Internet Cafe" on the ship in Tallin Estonia. Left Russia yesterday. Stockhom was interesting. The first day there we encountered the Gay Pride Parade with over 30,000 participants. Old Town Stockholm was interesting and the armoury was very neat.

Helsinki is a definate go back to. The people are wonderful and Very Good Looking...and tall too. I wish we had more time there.

St. Petersburg is fantastic. I was surprised at the beauty. They are celebrating their 300 year anneversary this year and the historic part of the city is georgeous. The Hermitage is overwheming. Can't wait to fill you in.

Moscow... now that was a marathon. Left at 6:00am and returned at 11:00 pm. The Russian plane was a charter and just fine..I was surprised. The Kremlin is different than I expected and much cleaner and it appears in better condition and is much larger than it seems on the TV news shows.Saw so much and had a wonderful Russsian lunch. I used all four of my Russian words.... thanks, yes, no ,and goodbye.

Have met some really great people on board. The average age on board, I'm guessing, is 45... so the nights are much more fun than the last cruise. I'm ahead at the gaming tables, and have only needed help back to the room from too many appletinis once. Food is fantastic, unfortunately, and the gym is small..unfortunately???

    Looking forward to Copenhagen.

For those readers who don't know the Helldorfers, be aware that Maureen's sister Sharon is someone you don't want to mess with or gamble against. She travels commercially a great deal. Her admirable husband is becoming more enthusiastic about vacationing around the world, but we'd never get him to go to Guatemala, except on a photographic assignment. —Ric
