The old archives may be accessed via the old t'Coto page. The only coherent index, which points to a small subset of the documents, is the Scripture Archives page. Other old archives will be put online Real Soon Now. Official t'CotO documents will be placed online after undergoing security and orthodoxy reviews. Stay tuned.

The SACRED OTTER REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA

The SACRED OTTER REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA (S.C.R.O.C.) -- a limited theocracy -- all members are granted divinity, titles, new names & fingerprints. ID card: picture, titles, name, D.O.B., address, sex(s) & availability, hair / eyes / ears / nose (yes/no), totem animal -- and proclamation of subjectship.

S.C.R.O.C. operates on double-tithes, not taxes; has peace & holiness enforcers but no cops or army; provides for free and fair elections of confessors and channelers; and establishes its road network only upon sacred ley-lines.

Need an official image, an outline map of California overlaid with a recognizable otter silhouette. Also need verification-validation machines, card-scanners to automate the processing of border transitions. Also need high-voltage punishment devices to handle transgressors. No worm will be left unturned. No social aspects shall remain uncritiqued. All is fair meat.

The GREAT OTTER & Buddhism & Compassion

The Great Otter is very concerned about the welfare and well-being and well-feeling of all living entities, but is also realistic. The Great Otter has considered the words of the great Buddhist teacher, Bhante Gunaratana:

"You suffer from the same malady that infects every human being. It is a monster inside all of us, and it has many arms; chronic tension, lack of genuine compassion for others, including the people closest to you, feelings being blocked up, and emotional deadness... We build a whole culture around hiding from it, pretending it is not there, and distracting ourselves from it with goals and projects and status. But it never goes away. It is a constant undercurrent in every thought and every perception; a little wordless voice at the back of the head that keeps saying, "Not good enough yet. Got to have more. Got to make it better. Got to be better."

The Great Otter is aware that the emotional deadness can result from TOO MUCH compassion, from a numbing reaction to feeling so intensely the pain and suffering of others. Suffering is the lot of all life, and absorbing the suffering of others does nothing to relieve our own suffering -- so we try to block that out, to avoid loading their suffering upon our own.

The Great Otter has a plan to relieve your suffering: Submit! Submit to the Great Otter! Submit! SUBMIT!! If you don't, you are fucking DEAD MEAT!! That is all.
