The UFOLOGY Game - a deceptively simple deck of cards

The Deck

The UFOlogy Game is played with a deck of cards, called The Deck. The cards all bear a hypnotic pattern on their reverse. Each card bears an image and a symbol on its obverse. The images depict a number of famous and infamous UFOs, aliens, maps of sites of UFO manifestations, channelers of alien entities, UFOlogists, writers on UFOlogical and SciFi subjects, and other personalities involved in the Game. The overprinted symbols are mysterious, unexplained, untranslated.

You have no way of knowing if The Deck is complete, or if portions of The Deck (and certain of the other players) are (in)visible, (non)corporeal, (extra)dimensional, or counterfeit. Some portions of The Deck will be posted on this webpage as they become available. Or maybe not.

The Play

The Players shall decide amongst themselves on an order of play. At each turn, Players may draw and discard cards, trade cards with each other, or offer to buy or sell cards. Players may also ally with or against other Players (visible or otherwise), may befriend or attack or seduce or drug or publish or hypnotize or terminate other Players. All moves are fair.

The object of the game is obtain the correct set of cards/symbols, arranged in the correct sequence, that will invoke a certain reaction, such as:

  •   The Space Brothers may arrive in the presence of the Players, thence to dispense with cosmic wisdom and/or wealth and/or wanking and/or whatever;
  •   Reticulans may arrive to abduct/implant some or all of the Players, and/or Reptilioids will arrive to devour Players;
  •   Media personnel may arrive to sensationalize the gathering of the Players;
  •   Men In Black may arrive to suppress the gathering of the players;
  •   Any other entity depicted in The Deck may arrive, to do... whatever;
  •   One or more of the above results may occur, but reversed.

No one knows what that operative sequence or sequences may be. Or if they do know, they aren't talking. And if they talk, they don't know. Probably. But playing the UFOlogy Game is necessary. If you don't play, you can't win. If you don't win, you can't conquer the universe. THEN where would you be, eh?

Meanwhile, other COLLECTIBLE CARD GAMES can, should and will be developed: Televangelists, Prophets, Deities, Demons, Angels, Supernatural Monsters, Witches / Warlocks / Wizards, Assassins, etc. At the very least. Stay tuned.
