Located 30 or so miles of the east coast of Nicaragua are the the Big Corn and Little Corn Islands. We spent a day on Big Corn Island and, based on the anglos traveling through on their way to Little Corn Island, it looks like an emerging tourist destination in La Mosquitia. There aren't any other tourist destinations to La Mosquitia other than Honduras' Rio Platano region.
