What follows on these journal pages is a roughly chronological account of a February 2003 trip to the Moskito regions of Nicaragua and Honduras. This account was reconstructed using notes written during the trip. Liberties have been taken in the order some material is presented in order to clarify what was happening or to highlight the significance of an event based on future knowledge. If you just want a short summary of the trip, check out the Summary page. There's also a page on my observations about traveling in Central America including a seperate page recommending the services of Juan Samuel for those interested in facilitating their own Central America travel experiences. Finally, I have a page containing what things I learned or confirmed for myself when it comes to fourth-world diving on behalf of first-world restaurants.
