As a result of some fund raising activities for Sub Ocean Safety a
few years back, I've had a standing invitation to join Bob on one of his trips
to Central America. On February 4, I received an e-mail from Bob with an
outline for a trip beginning in Managua on February 11. It seemed like a crazy
idea to join in on the trip but I decided to forego a kneejerk "no" and see if
things would fall together. Things did and I landed in Managua on the 11th a
few hours before Bob.
The purpose of the trip was to find funding for installing a
chamber on Big Corn Island, check the status of chambers already in operation
and collecting material for a magazine article. In the end, those goals were
achived along with so much more.
These pages provide access to the photographs I collected during
the trip. They're roughly arranged in the order they were taken. Due to space
limitations imposed by my ISP, I've reduced these pictures to snapshot size;
the original, larger versions are available on request. |
