Part of the trip between Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua and Puerto Lempira, Honduras was on the Rio Coco seperating those two countries. The 12 mile trip upriver from Waspam to Leimas was by motorized dugout canoe (a very tippy canoe, at that).
