Welcome to the Evergreen Times website. The Evergreen Times was founded in 1993 in Petaluma, CA by Rod Sager. Originally it was called the Redwood Reporter. The name was changed in 2003 after Rod Sager had moved to the Northwest and "Redwood" was no longer fitting. This publication began as a silly chronicle of a group of guys from Petaluma that grew up together and routinely hooked up to play poker and other games like Trivial Pursuit and such. The Redwood Reporter chronicled these events. But as time went on the Reporter began to opine on the lives and times of these men. Later politics and sports became topics and now after15 years and more than 250 issues the Evergreen Times has grown into a regular op-ed newsletter.
