Victorians and Petaluma Hotel

Petaluma

This image captures literally a 'piece' of Americana. The old victorians and the stately old Petaluma Hotel are tightly cropped to show a taste of old Petaluma.

This image was made from Veteran's Park looking across Kentucky Street. Petaluma is an old victorian town that was founded in 1834 and incorporated in 1858. The city flourished and at one point was the wealthiest city in California. The city is 38 miles Northwest of San Francisco and has a population of 50,000.

This image was made with a 4x5 Speed Graphic on 4x5 Kodak Tri-X pan film and a Zeiss 135/4.5 Tessar.
