Welcome to my Neverwinter Nights page.  For those of you still playing the original Neverwinter Nights, I have a module you can play online.  Look for "The Dark Divinty".  This module is filled with adventure, mystery and ultra UBER weapons and monsters.  I have tips and hints for playing 'The Dark Divinity' below as well as toolset screenshots from the module.  This page is not affiliated with Bioware

The Dark Divinity

TIPS and HINTS

  • JOIN the discussion forum click here

  • Talk to the NPCs they can help you.

  • Check out the landscape closely, the spires and buildings are not just decorator touches, there are over 100 imbedded levels, look around.

  • Remember that this is a party protected PVP.  Don't launch fireballs into someone else's melee unless they are in your party.

  • The cities are not always safe, there are bandits and evil doers about, be careful.

  • Take the treasure you find it is often so specialized you can't use it but it will fetch allot of money at the merchants.

  • Shop around to different merchants some will buy anything some will buy specifics and some pay better.

  • This module will tear your character apart if you don't get uber weps fast.

  • There are no level restrictions, a level 1 character can wield a level 60 weapon.

  • If you kill other players outside of the PVP arena, the guards will go nuts and hack you up.

  • Don't die... the death penalty is severe.  You can get 'saved' from Pergotory if you die, but your companions will travel far to complete the quest to save you.

  • Read the signs, they will warn you about dangers ahead, if the sign says level 15 recommended, then be sure you are at that level and if you are alone take UBER gear or you will die.

  • Your character will level very quickly in this module.  This is good because 2/3 of the module requires an epic character.

  • The final "boss" is devastingly tough.  There are clues throughout the world on how to kill him.  There are also weapons that can assist you as well.  He is in the top room of the Great Castle.

  • Doors that are locked can almost always be smashed.  Some doors might take you an hour to bash down so finding the key might be better.

Rod Sager's 'The Dark Divinity'

The Dark Divinity is set in the land of Talos.  You begin in Fauxtown, and that name is appropriate.  An evil temple has been established and the Castle overun by an evil ultra-uber lizard wizard.  Can you save Talos?  You will have to climb great mountains and cross frozen tundra only to then travel across the desert to the sea and across the sea to the Great City of Tarnastar.  There are many great adventures for you to discover.  This module is unlike others you have played.  If your character is evil you can truly be evil.  If you want to be a hero, well that can happen too.  This module has many quests, but for the most part it is a hack-n-slash dream world.  There are allot of specialized weapons and training areas for you to discover. You may find guilds to join (click here) If you can't carry lots of treasure, seek out a bag of holding.  Most of the questing is finding the uber items you will need to advance deeper into the world of Talos.  Listen to the NPCs but don't always trust them, some may lead you into a trap.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback you have regarding the module.  There are some glitches no doubt to work out.  I tried to create an environment that was different than the modules I played on for so long before NWN2 came out.  I used to play on Zombieland and Fireside allot.  The party protected PVP is something I liked but never found much of.  So I decided to make my world Party PVP, I originally was going to have the whole world on PVP but that's just to hard for spellcasters.  Nothing worse than barbeque-ing your own barbarian with a level 40 fireball!

I hope all of you will be nice to the other players and not kill them. Yes, be nice.   Remember, if you kill another player all the guards will become hostile toward you.  The guards are UBER  and will probably kick your ass.  An occasional slaying of an player character that truly "has it coming" and is in character for your character is tolerated but excessive use of force or out of character assaults are not acceptable.

The module reloads daily and anytime I add new material.  If you are interested in being a dungeon master on this server please let me know and I will contact you about that opportunity.  If you are chosen to be a DM there will be some responsibility to help police the activities on the server.  You will recieve some ULTRA-UBER goodies to wear and wield that are customized to your character.  DM application click here.
