"I am drawn first to color, texture and form. I do not sew, but paper quilting finds its way into many of my pieces. I use it often as a means of adding movement, light and shadow and in creating complex ethnic designs."

In 1981, I began the study of art as part of my personal healing, using meditation, the mandala and drawing from the right brain. In 1983, I was introduced to Suzanne Caygill, one of the foremost colorists of the United States, who taught me a great deal about color, texture, pattern and design as it relates to the female form. After 13 years of teaching myself and other women how to dress their bodies as works of art, I explored other avenues of art including jewelry design, clothing designs for dancers and interior design using the principles of feng shui. Simultaneusly, I finetuned my skills as a fiction writer and published my first short story.

In 1997, I fell in love with Argentine Tango. I have always been a dancer, but the tango moved me as no other dance form had. It was the tango that inspired my first collage.

About my method: I am drawn first to color, texture and form. I do not sew, but paper quilting finds its way into many of my pieces. I use it often as a means of adding movement, light and shadow and in creating complex ethnic designs.

I am attracted to the undulating line, triangles, the female form as landscape, mythology, sacred sculpture, tarot and ancient architecture.

I am influenced by the world of fashion, French advertisements, the romance of the fifties, theatre, film noir, gothic imagery, zen. My fascination with these images as metaphor is what drives the artistic process.

What inspires me: The flying figures of Chagall, the color palettes and designs from the Orient, Eastern and Southern Europe, India, island peoples and aborigines.

My hopes: To open the heart, to create beauty and to express truths that go beyond the boundaries of gender and culture.

The prints are signed and numbered in limited editions of 35, on a paper with a lightsheen.

The cards are reproductions of the original prints. Each card is hand-signed on the front including the title. The inside is left blank for you to express your personal message.

In addition to her collage art, Ronnie spends time tango dancing.

Unframed prints are matted using acid-free materials. Prints are available in several sizes.
