-James Bibber served in the Revolutionary War with Captain Curtis' company as noted on 20 May, 1775. He then served with Captain Lowell's company in 1777 and may have engaged in several other "tours" during the war.
-From the 1841 Census of pensioners from the Revolutionary war , James Bibber age 84 is listed as living in North Yarmouth.

-Found was a Hattie Bibber of unknown lineage. She was born 16, Aug., 1874 and died in Sept., 1966 in Westbrook, Cumberland Co., ME. SSN 005-05-2705.
-Charles W. Bibber served in the Civil War in the Maine 9th Regiment Infantry, Company B. He was a private, age 23, married, mustered 13 Oct., 1862, transferred to invalid corps. Then he transferred to the Veterans Reserve, 10th Regiment, Company F. Then he was a private, age 24, married, mustered 25 July, 1863. Mustered out 1st or 3rd of Aug., 1865.
-Andrew H Bibber served in the Maine Cavalry, 1st Regiment. He was a sergeant, age 24, single, mustered 19 Oct., 1861. Remarks: promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on 11 Feb., 1863; promoted to Adjutant on 20 Aug., 1863; promoted to Captain of Company F on 11 July, 1864; promoted to A.A.Y. on 22 April, 1865 (he fought in many battles).
-There is also a listing for: Gershom C. Bibber in the Coast Guard Artillery, Company C, 1st Sergeant, 24 years old, single, mustered 10 Dec., 1861. -George H. Bibber once lived at 1 Hayes Ave. with his sons.
-During the Civil War, George served with the 9th Regiment Infantry, Company B. He was a private, age 18, single, mustered 13 Oct., 1862. He was also an orderly for the U.S. Telegraph Office and clerk at Regimental Headquarters. He was promoted to Quartermaster Sergeant on 10 May, 1865, and discharged by order on 21 June, 1865.
