After many years of only dreaming about owning a bike on March 11, 2004 I finally purchaced a brand new Harley-Davidson "Sportster" XL883C. I chose the Custom model for its new larger tank , foward controls, 21" lace front wheel, and pull back bars, giving me an almost upright riding position that is almost same as when I sit in a car. Here I will document all the stuff I change , add, modify on it.
Well it left the dealership almost stock; I had them install a riged mount short sissy bar before it left. I had also purchashed a few minor add-ons that day that went on as soon as I got home. I added Smoked Turn signal lens kit that replces the Stock orange lens with smoked lens & orange bulbs. I Also added a chrome headlamp trim ring. Withen the next 30 days I added a few more items, a chrome tail light collar, flame foot pegs, flame shift peg, flame grips.
In the year since then I have added alot more parts and even gotten a Custom Flame paint job. Here is a List of what I have added to it so far:
Here is what it looked like when I first got it home after its first wash.
Here are some pics of the new Paint job (click for larger image):

Next thing going on is brand new Avon AM41/AM42 WhiteWall tires! They should be here by the end of the month (crosses fingers as they are back ordered). I have alot more planed like getting a rear spoke rim and then getting both front and rear powdercoated (either ced or cyan), getting the clutch, throttle & brake lines replaced with stainless steel braided lines, powdercoating the engine cases wrinkle black (like a 883R), powdercoating the fork sliders gloss black, pinstriping outlineing the flames, running all the cotrol wires in the handle bars. I'll add more to this site as I get more done, and maybe even some How-To pics. So keep checking back & "Keep the Rubber Side Down!"
