- Sunday, August 9
- Join us after worship for an Ice Cream Social in Epworthian Hall. Enjoy ice cream with your choice
of toppings! This event is hosted by our youth to raise funds for our Church Door Ministry. We are
hoping to raise enough money to purchase sleeping bags and to supplement food and toiletry items.
- August 9, August 13, August 14
- Drop off days for items for our Annual Rummage Sale. Your contribution helps in TWO ways. (1)
During these difficult economic times, there are many in need in our community who greatly appreciate
quality used items at low prices, and (2) 100% of the sale proceeds will benefit our UMC World Service
Fund.
- Saturday, August 15, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Annual Rummage Sale in Epworthian Hall. We will have a special area for plants, home-baked items and
garden produce.
This year we have added the Treasure Chest, special items such as antiques and fine china, which are not
appropriate to the fast and furious bargain pace of the Rummage Sale. These items will be located in Room
5.
- September 18 - 20
- Church Family Camp at Westminster Woods. Camp begins on Friday evening, September 18, and ends
at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 20. Relax and take a nap in the shade - or walk in the redwoods. There
are several marked trails from easy to difficult. Enjoy fruit and coffee or tea for a snack any time -
or a delicious brunch on Sunday morning. Cool off in the swimming pool - or warm up on the cargo net.
Learn about the plants and the animals at the Nature Center. Meditate by walking the labyrinth. Play
basketball - or volleyball. Renew old acquaintances - or make new friends. Enjoy singing and smores at the
Saturday evening campfire. Play board games with your family - or leave the kids at the children's activity
and enjoy some adult time with your spouse. Whatever you enjoy doing will be enhanced by the wonderful
natural atmosphere at Westminster Woods. Invite your family and friends!
The United Methodist Men are donating money to pay the registration
for our church kids. The cost for adults, for 2 nights and 5 meals is $125 per adult. Registration
forms are available in Epworthian Hall, and include pro-rated prices for those who are not able to
attend the whole weekend. Contact Leaf R. for further information and/or questions.
