This Program is made possible through fundraising efforts. In 2011, funds were raised at the annual Guys Can Cook Too event and the Cajun-Zydeco Festival. "We thank our local businesses and community members for sponsoring and supporting these fundraisers. It provides the means to give back to local charities, schools and other organizations working to improve our community," says Club President Jerry Meshulam. Beginning October 1, 2011, the Sebastopol Sunrise Rotary Community Grant Application will be available to the public at www.subsunriserotary.org. According to Meshulam "It is our goal to assist as many applicants as possible and we have traditionally approved requests in the $250 - $2,000 range." The deadline for submission is December 31, 2011. The Grants are for special or project capital and/or improvements rather than ongoing operational or consumable costs, with the following criteria:
