Rotary and Russian River Sisters Join to celebrate Mardi Gras!
On February 18th, for the very first time, the Rotary Club of Sebastopol Sunrise and the famous Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence join forces to produce a unique West County Mardi Gras Celebration - a Casino Night featuring games, Cajun food and drinks, and a huge Silent Auction and Mardi Gras raffle at the Sebastopol Veteran's Hall. These two power-house organizations are joining forces to battle hunger in West County. The net proceeds of this Casino Night event go directly to Food For Thought, the Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank, and the Sebastopol Interchurch Food Pantry. The party is set at the Sebastopol Vet's Hall on the Saturday of Mardi Gras weekend. It is just in time to celebrate this holiday in style, and you can expect some serious fun. Supervisor Efren Carrillo said "This collaboration between Rotary and the Sisters promises to be an annual 'hit' of hilarious proportions. You just can't beat the odds of something fun happening with this combination of games, FUNdraising for a good cause and a gaggle of Sisters in a big room with plenty of food and drinks." With each admission ticket, guests receive 'casino money' (scrip) to play games of chance (Poker, Roulette, Blackjack, & Craps). This Mardi Gras party presents plenty of fun in addition to the game tables, including live music, Mardi Gras-themed cocktails, a huge silent auction, a raffle, delicious Cajun food and, of course, the Sisters hosting a very festive evening in the Sebastopol Veteran's Hall. Tickets are available online at www.MardiGrasCasinoNight.com and at four ticket outlets including Mombo's Pizza and GTO's Restaurant in Sebastopol, the Forestville Pharmacy and the 5 & 10 in Guerneville. General Admission tickets are $50 (include $200 in scrip). VIP Tickets are $100 (include $300 in scrip, Goodie Bag, two complimentary drinks, 20 raffle tickets, and access to a VIP parking area). Costumes are encouraged and the fun is Mardi Gras style! Doors open at 7pm with live music and Cajun food & drinks; games start 7:30pm. More information is available at Food For Thought at 707-887-1647. |
