Nov. 1, 2004 - present: Clovis Solutions, a telecommunications software company in Petaluma, CA. Configuration Management Consultant. Currently creating an extensive suite of Perforce trigger scripts, integrating it with Bugzilla defect tracking, and using perl and unix shell scripting to automatically check syntax, compile, and regression test new code before it is accepted into the configuration management system.
Aug. 2003 - Oct. 29, 2004: Mahi Networks, a telecommunications equipment company in Petaluma, CA. Member of Technical Staff. Software Configuration, Build and Release manager, and Tools Developer. Maintained and enhanced a heterogeneous build enviroment using Linux and Windows. Refined and documented build and release procedures, and developed extensive perl and Microsoft SQL scripts for automation of and reporting on development activities and status within the Perforce code management and TeamTrack defects databases.
Feb.02-Aug.03: AncientCoinArt.com, San Rafael, CA and WildWinds.com, Rohnert Park, CA. Web Producer & Software Engineer. Created one of the largest commercial websites for ancient coins and antiquities in the US, and the world's largest reference website on classical numismatics, currently serving over 3000 users a day. Using linux, apache, tomcat, Oracle SQL and perl scripts, developed extensive cross-indexing, end-user controls, innovative graphical search engines, advertising banner rotation and reporting applications.
Oct.98-Jan.02: Next Level Communications, a telecommunications equipment company in Rohnert Park, CA. Software Tools Engineer.
Configuration Management and Systems Administrator for ClearCase and a large number of other software and hardware development tools
(Wind River, gnu, Concept, ProE, IcePak, Agile, etc) for a manufacturer
of broadband telecommunications equipment, supporting development of
embedded systems on Solaris and Windows NT. Created a unix/windows
integrated ClearCase environment and provided training.
Wrote numerous perl, unix shell script and C programs for automated load testing, build and release tools, ClearCase scripts and other applications such as a web-based end-user tool for calculating system power requirements.
Feb.98 - Oct.98: Network Equipment Technologies, a telecommunications equipment company in Fremont, CA. Lead, Software Tools Group.
Was lead of four-person group responsible for ClearCase configuration management, ClearDDTS issue tracking, Wind River Tornado and other embedded systems development tools on Solaris.
Developed international cooperation using MultiSite. Ensured smooth systems transition during move of headquarters from Redwood City to Fremont.

Digital Telephone Systems Division, a telecommunications equipment company in Novato, CA.
Engineering Supervisor.
Was responsible for software development environment, originally on VAX/VMS. Major accomplishment was leadership
of the conversion of the environment from programming language PL/M to C
and of environment from VAX to Windows NT, single-handedly creating a new ClearCase-based configuration management system and provided user training crucial to its ultimate success.
Was also software developer on many embedded system development projects
in PL/M and C.
May.83 - Nov.87: British Petroleum Alaska Exploration, an oil company San Francisco, CA.
Technical Programmer Reservoir Engineering.
Created an integrated reservoir simulation system, written in Fortran and running on VAX/VMS and Cray hardware. This was the decision support system for options in the development of the second largest oil field in the US, predicting oil production under various scenarios.
