• English or bilingual sites for Chikamatsu Monzaemon: It is easy to access biographical information on Chikamatsu on the world wide web. However, the introduction in the volume we have purchased is not only more complete, most of the short descriptions on the web seem to be directly drawn from it. But if you are on the web and need a quick refresher on this playwright, just Google Chikamatsu and go. I checked the first twenty sites, and they seem reasonably reliable.
