Post Office is as important as ever

As with most small towns, Marshall's Post Office is a critical component to the town's connection with the outside world. Even in these days of faxes and email, the Post Office retains its importance as a central point of the community. Marshall's current office was built in 1983 and is shown here. Outside the office next to the flagpole is a community chalkboard which usually includes a message honoring a Marshallite who is celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other significant occasion. It's classic small town USA, and that's what makes it such a great place.

The Marshall Boatworks is directly across Highway 1 from the Post Office. The Boatworks is shown here as seen from the front porch of the Post Office.
