"Emotional Embellishment of a Mayan Building"

I couldn't help but illustrate a heavy, dark and ominous mood that came over me when I imagined the building and society caught in the throes of creation and destruction, (perhaps they did not differentiate between the two)?
This is a Pre-Toltec Mayan building, with definitive architecture using vaulted ceilings and lavish stone ornamentation, more complex than the later more simplisticly focused Toltec architecture. The Toltecs simplified the equation by fixating on Chac-Mol and warrior themes with post and beam structures. A Real Gem of a structure, worthy of emotional embellishment.
