APGR72 Week 1 Reading and HomeworkOn this page you'll find all the homework for a specific week. For an overview of homework for the entire course, please check the "calendar" page. Reading assignments are an important part of the week's study so please make sure you complete them. The weekly quiz may well contain questions based on the week's reading assignments. Some homework assignments require you to fill out an online form. I advise you to write your assignment in a word processing program and save the file on your computer. Then copy and paste your assignment into the online form. If no online input form is provided, you should assume that you need to upload the assignment to your homework site. I will then need you to send me the CORRECT link to that homework via e-mail. Reading due this week:
Homework to be completed this week: In your message, please tell us something about yourself. You should
use full sentences and provide some detail. (Short one-word
or very brief answers will not score full points.) Please include the
following: In the subject area of the input form please type: your name + the word "Introduction." For example: Kathy Thornley Introduction. Please note: This introduction will count as 1 message towards your 14-message forum participation requirement. Don't forget to click the SEND MESSAGE button at the bottom of the form! Due: 8/28 by midnight
Assignment 2 -- Homework Web Site for the class (10 points):
Set up a BASIC homework index page and corresponding
assignment pages. Your homework index page (5 points) should
have the following: class title, your name,
hyperlinked e-mail address and links to class homework
assignments: Your assignment page (create a template page) should have the following: class title, your name, hyperlinked e-mail address and enough space for both text and images -- at least 900 pixels wide (5 points). Make sure you set up an easy-to-use filenaming system (preferably Assn_1, Assn_2, Proj_1 etc.) for your assignments. Please note that some assignments may be turned in using online forms. You do not need to upload these to your homework site (unless you want to). If no input form is provided for an assignment, you should assume that it needs to be uploaded to your homework site. DO NOT send me attachments via e-mail! Please note: When you have completed an assignment and uploaded it to your homework site, I expect to receive an e-mail with the title of the assignment and the direct URL. You can use the coding from the sample templates provided below (next to the red arrow) if you want (a very quick solution!). (Just change the mailto: and colors...) Send me the URL to your homework site in an e-mail (kthornley@santarosa.edu) with the subject line: APGR72 Homework Index Page your_name.
Forum -- post or reply to 1 message on the class forum
(in addition to Assn. 1).
