A handful of us decided to get away from the depressing events on the TV from the recent World Trade Center attack, just days before. It was a lovely morning for a hike. Not too hot and not too cold. We started off at the foggy coast. As we made our way inland the blue sky emerged and we peeled off our jackets. The trails had been recently cleared of the usual invasive poison oak, which was a real plus!

How did we get way up here on this big rock, any way? A good time to rest and take in the scenery.

The grasslands give in to fir and redwood forests as you near Pomo Canyon.

That's it!
