The morning was cold and cloudy with a possibility of rain in the forecast and a snow level down to about 3000 feet. Five of us took a chance and decided to go for the hike. The steep uphills warmed us up, but the downhill stretches were soggy, slippery and cold.- Photos by Molly.
Here there was still evidence of the heavy rains in the end of December. A new bridge was built and the old one had washed up against it along with a pile of debris.

Climbing our way up to 1630 feet. The views along the way were stunning.

The rain held off a bit for lunch. We sat on a painting tarp with frozen hands while we ate lunch, then the rains picked up and we headed back towards the cars, a few miles down the hill.
