NBWW: Kruse Rhododendron & Salt Point State Park, March 2003

Home FAQ Bulletin Board Pix Main
After the flowers we ate lunch at the beautiful turquoise cove at Stump Beach. Then we ventured along the headlands trail where we were greeted by a wonderland of wild flowers like in the Wizard of Oz. Salt Point also boasts stunning rock formations. The odd honeycombing is called tafoni sandstone. You have to see it to appreciate it!
