June

Wednesday, June 10th 9:30-1:30
Hike -   Sugarloaf near Kenwood

We'll meet at the dirt parking lot 2.2 miles up Adobe Canyon Road off Hiway 12. We'll hike up the trail for 2 hours, stop for a snack then head back. There's some elevation change and shade at the beginning but I don't know about the rest. Bring a snack or lunch and water.

If you have any questions please e-mail Kay at hikingwithKay@aol.com

July

Sunday, July 5th
Audubon Canyon Ranch's Bolinas Lagoon Preserve

Meet at the southbound Rohnert Park park n ride at 9:00am. You can carpool from here if you'd like. I will hand out directions here. Bring lunch, water, jacket and any viewing equipment you have, although there will be scopes set up there. I will lead a hike of several miles to the viewing platform. You can also take a short hike to the platform or view from the bottom with powerful scopes. There are picnic tables and a book store. The chicks should be fairly large and active-an unforgettable sight!

If you have any questions please e-mail Kay at hikingwithKay@aol.com

Wanderwomen Chat Room!!

Photos from past events!

This week is flying by and very busy, but I wanted to take some time out to express how overjoyed I was to have completed the Mt. St. Helena hike with all the great gals in your group. Thank you for making me feel welcome, and for being such a hilarious, laid-back group to walk with. I had a ball, and look forward to the next time. You can quote me on that!

WanderWomen rock!

Best Regards,
-Natalie

Read the article Susan Hester wrote about NBW!

Just a quick 'thank you' to you and all the ladies for making me welcome on the hike Sunday. I really enjoyed being out, and also meeting at least some of you. It was nice to be welcomed in the manner I was - first by your email response; then by Kay who helped break the ice and also Bev, Sue and others.

I do hope to join the group again for future hikes.

Please, if you have the opportunity, pass on to the others that I was very comfortable; appreciated the way they welcomed me and hope to see everyone again.

My best,
-Nancy
